PLASTIC SURGERY PATIENT TESTIMONIALS
Hi again,

Well... I was at a concert in Dewey last Sunday night (Patty Smyth and Scandal... yes, very 80s but I really love their music). Anyway, after the concert, I got to actually meet the band members, which was this huge thrill for me. The fact that the concert and the trip to Dewey were my birthday gifts to myself came up, and I said something about turning 41. The bass guitarist, who was not one second over 30, said to me, "You're kidding! I would have thought you were 31." And I was SO about to blurt out, "WOW, we can really thank my doctor, who just shot me up with Botox the other day!!!"

But I managed to just laugh and say thank you and not give up the ghost about the Botox.

It was worth every cent of the $375!!! And, no, he was absolutely not hitting on me.

So, thank you for your excellent work. I consider this to be a true Botox success story :)

Take care,
Diane

Good Afternoon,

First of all let me say thank you again for my new nose. This procedure is something I have wanted to do for years. I am very glad I waited because had I not waited I may not have had the nose I have today. It's because of you that I feel this joy and excitement. I can't thank you enough. THANK YOU!!!

Thank you so much,
Tammy

Dear Dr. Schoenfeld,

All of my life, which is almost twenty-one years now, I've been a happy person who tried to look past the breathing difficulties I experienced and the unfortunate appearance of my very large nose. As I grew older, though, I became more and more bothered by my deviated septum, and in the back of my thoughts I constantly worried and was disappointed with my nose. I felt like I had to apologize for people having to look at me, and I wanted a change. I wished more than anything that I could feel more confident about my facial appearance, but I was scared about the process of surgery, the recooperation time, and the end result. I didn't want people saying to me, Did you get a nose job?

The best decision I ever made was to make an appointment with you. You helped me feel at ease and happy about confronting my fears. Thank you for being so approachable and supportive. I had heard that you were one of the best doctors in the area to go to, and people were right! You and your wonderful staff made me comfortable and excited about my decision to have rhinoplasty and deviated septum surgery. As soon as I woke up from the painless surgery, I could breathe completely freely. Since the recovery, I have never felt so good about myself or more confident about my appearance. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Best Wishes,

MG

Hello Dr. Schoenfeld,

I hope you are doing well.

This message is long over due but I wanted to let you know how pleased I am with the rhinoplasty procedure you did for me. When you told me you could make me look "awesome", I really didn't believe you. I thought you were just giving me a sales pitch.

I had a slight curve on nose. People used to say I had a boxer's nose. You straightened out my nose and added a slight tip to it. Now my nose is straight and the tip gives my face a softer look. Nowwhen I look in the mirror I think that I do look "awesome"!

You also performed a procedure on my turbonites(sp). I used to get sinusinfections all the time due to my allergies. Sincemy procedure I haven't had any sinus infections and I'm breathing and feeling great.

You and your staff are really great. After each appointment, I would remember that I had one more question. Your staff would take the time to find the answers to my questions. When I got home I would have more questions. You were very responsive to my emails and phone calls.

I really appreciate what you and your staff have done for me. I definetly believe your work has given me a better quality of life.

Thank you,
Manoj G

Dear Dr. Schoenfeld,

I had a rhinoplasty many years ago that left me disfigured. It was horrifying to lookin the mirror afteran elective operation, hating what I saw, realizingI made a terrible, irreversible decisionfor vanity. My original nose may have been a bit too large, but the surgeonmade my nose too small and with an odd angle that sapped the character from my face. Structurally, the first surgeon also damaged my nasal valves and tip, and failed to correct my deviated septum. More recently I found myself having troublesupporting glasses.

I had seen several surgeons who had either saidmy problems were unfixable or who otherwise advised against operating. Idespaired fora long timebut fortunately I saw Dr. Schoenfeld's name listed in the Washingtonian magazine as one of Washington, DC's top surgeons and made an appointment. From the first visit onward, Dr. Schoenfeld was compassionate and respectful. It was such a relief to find at last a surgeon who not only saw the problems I saw in the mirror -- and those not visible -- but also who said he could fix them.

Given the trauma of my first surgical experience, I wasterrified before my revision rhinoplasty and septoplasty but Dr. Schoenfeld made himself available by both email and phone, and was very accepting of my questions and concerns. At no point did he pressure me to have surgery. His staff was also very supportive and attentive. Still I was, frankly, doubtful whether Dr. Schoenfeld, or any surgeon, for that matter could make the incredible revisionshe proposed, andthat I would be satisfied.

Fortunately the operation was a complete success. I was able to breathe better within five minutes of waking up from the operation andmynose has been miraculously reshaped so that it better suits the contours of my face. And fortunately my insurance covered the functional portions of the operation.

It is four weeks post-surgery and recovery, although slow, continues apace. The character has been restored to my face and I no longer look in the mirror forlorn. Sometimes I even giggle. I am amazed that anyone could possibly do what Dr. Schoenfeld had done merely by manipulating and rearranging septal tissue. I am so grateful to Dr. Schoenfeld for having healed me both physically and aesthetically.

RL,
Washington, DC

Dear Dr. Schoenfeld,

File this under "Fan Mail!"

I am so grateful to you for your professional skills, care, and personal courtesy to my family during the surgery to repair my face. I have recovered in good form and consider myself very fortunate.

All the Best,
E. C.

This is to let you know that which you already knew: what a splendid person and surgeon is your Dr. Schoenfeld.

I just met Dr. Schoenfeld about five years ago when I had a serious problem with removed melanoma performed elsewhere which resulted in a collapsed septum and increased difficulty breathing.
Having enquired from several doctors as to where I should go, they recommended Dr. Schoenfeld. From our initial visit with him he instilled great confidence and, more importantly, a wonderful, instantaneous rapport and relationship, both with me and my wife, Mary. The surgery was completely successful and my sleeping has been effortless since.

Two years ago, I discussed with Dr. Schoenfeld the possibility of a major facial cosmetic surgery. Without pressure or undue persuasion in any way he went through the probability of success, the problems associated with the surgery and the follow up. I decided as I had such confidence with him to go ahead this February last. The operation was completely successful and I feel far more comfortable and uninhibited both by myself and with others.

Dr. Schoenfeld is a doctor who epitomizes the proverbial perfect bedside manner. I felt from the beginning, having had ample occasion to talk with him and assess his abilities that I was in good hands and in that assessment I was totally justified. His is a wonderful personality, very positive, very upbeat, which infectiously he imparts to the patient. He is now not just our doctor but a very good friend. If ever his schedule permits, which is doubtful, we have invited him and his family to spend a weekend with us. I hope that may still ultimately be realized.

If any of our friends contemplate cosmetic surgery I will take great pleasure in placing them in his competent and caring hands. From our two happy experiences with him, it would be a case of Res Ipsa Loquitur.

Sincerely yours,
P.B

Dear Dr. Schoenfeld,

I wanted to thank you so much for your care and for successfully repairing what three previous surgeons could not. After three failed septoplasty/rhinoplasty surgeries, I was pretty close to giving up and settling for a lifetime of breathing and sleeping difficulties. When you were recommended to me, I was delighted by your enthusiasm, optimism, and confidence in being able to fix all the previous damage.

After the surgery, I am happy to report that I feel about 100% better: I can breathe easily, sleep peacefully, and no less important, I am pleased with the way I look!

Thank you Dr. Schoenfeld!

Sincerely,
DeVere

Hi Dr. Schoenfeld,

Changing a feature on your face can be a frightening venture. After a lot of research and thought three years ago, I decided that I would go see Dr. Schoenfeld for a consultation and see what he could do to slightly modify my nose. Two weeks later I had the procedure that changed my life. You know a job well done when people notice something different about you, but canât tell weather you have gotten a new hair cut or a new shade of blush. I have a new confidence about me and my quality of life has improved tremendously. Dr. Schoenfeld was professional, classy, and 100% comforting throughout the entire process. I am a satisfied customer and could not be happier with my results.

Thank you,
Jessica

Dr. Schoenfeldliterally changed my life.I had consulted with plastic surgeons before, but Dr. Schoenfeld made me feel comfortable right away. Not only did he listen to me and understand that one size doesnât fit all. He BELIEVED in me - he knew, and made me believe, that I would still be meâjust better!

I suffered no pain with the recovery. Sure, it was uncomfortable for a few days, but it was never painful. And within two weeks of the surgery I knew that my life would never be the same.

I think thebiggest change is one that other people can't see. Do I look better? YES! ButI also feel better! I now have new energy and a new, more positive attitude and it is apparent to everyone who knows me and everyone I meet.

For the first time in my life I introduce myself to people, smile and talk, withoutthose old anxieties of what THEY were noticing about me.The surgery has removed a barrier that didn't allow me to be myself. I meet someone new almost every time I go out now, as opposed tohanging with the same old crowd all night long. And Iâm dating!

Thanks again for everything Doc! Youâre the best. I look forward to seeing you on the 15th.

Kelly

To all:

When Renu Med Spa was just opening before it was even decorated, I took a chance. It was my last hope.

I have acne. I've had it since I was in middle school and now I am a college graduate. In the past I tried everything that was made to help fight acne. To be honest, I was tired of getting my hopes up and
not seeing results.

During my first appointment with Dr. Philip Schoenfeld, he told me about the Med Spa and all the wonderful things it can do for some one in my position. I'm thinking, "yea I've heard this before." Sitting in this big leather chair I had this little voice in my head saying this is a waist of time, I've got to go back to work.

I met Michelle, the med spa coordinator and their aestheticians and they were so real. They didn't sweet talk me, they said how it really
needed to be told. The treatments were backed with medical explanations that helped me control the degree of blemishes that were accruing. They took their time when treating me; Michele never made me feel rushed.

I feel good. A big part of my life, something that would affect my self esteem, has been changed for the best. Do I see results? Yes, and people who know me compliment the results. Once a nightmare now a fairy tail, and me a queen.

If it means that much to you, don't give up.

Erica Lynn

The best part about my face lift is that no realizes I've had one...
but everyone mentions how great I look!!! (Actually everyone's first guess is that I changed my hair style so my hairdresser is getting a lot of credit for your work!!)

My neck is the envy of every woman over 45!!

Dr. Schoenfeld took the time to understand what I wanted and was straightforward in letting me know what he could and could not deliver... I knew what to expect every step of the way.

People don't believe how little pain I had... 5 and 1/2 hours of surgery and the worst discomfort was a little itching under the bandages.
See you soon.

Gale

I truly appreciate Dr. Philip Schoenfeld's excellent work on my behalf. I thought it "normal" for 40+ years to not be able to breathe from both nostrils.

After Dr. Schoenfeld repaired my son's deviated septum, I asked Dr. Schoenfeld to evaluate me. While he was planning to correct the deviated septum, we also decided to do a bit of reshaping. I was always somewhat self-conscious of the bump on my nose, so this was the chance to get it all done. Dr. Schoenfeld's professionalism and straight forward approach enlisted my trust from the start. The results were excellent - appearance, and ability to breath normally from both nostrils. We have since recommended him to several others who were equally pleased with the surgical results.

Dear Dr. Schoenfeld,

I am writing to thank you for excellent results (within days) after the cosmetic Surgery. I feel completely rejuvenated. Why did I wait so long? As they say, I shopped around for the best deal not knowing what to expect. I met with a few surgeons to see what they could do and to look at their before and after photos. I reassessed the situation and decided to shop around for great results more than price. I came and asked to see your pics. The results were so natural. I was very impressed.

I enjoyed meeting with you and ecstatic that I did go with the mini face lift, chin liposuction, blepharoplasty, etc. The way I now look matches the way I feel inside, GREAT. I would only ask that you thank the surgery center for their professionalism and kindness. This has been a flawless process from beginning to end. I was quite surprised that in following your directions, the pain was minimal to say the least. I would do it again without hesitation.

Hopefully, you and your staff will not tire of me, (and my friends). I have a feeling you will be seeing us often. We will still be in for botox, skin care, etc. and anything else we deem necessary. Please keep me on your mailing list.

Thank you for the kindness and compassion you showed me throughout. The personal follow-up call and flowers made me feel like I was your only patient.

Sincerely,

Bill Murphy

P.S. Your office in Chevy Chase is so convenient with the Friendship Heights metro stop a block away. My friends now realize that it is very easy to access from Virginia.
